Introduction: AC Milan have secured a loan deal for Joao Felix, bringing in the Portuguese forward for the remainder of the 2024-25 season. The move comes as Felix looks for more regular playing time after struggling for minutes at Chelsea.

Loan Deal Details: AC Milan secured the 25-year-old Portuguese forward for a £5 million loan fee. The deal does not include an obligation to buy, allowing Milan to evaluate his performance before making a long-term decision. Felix originally joined Chelsea on loan in 2022-23 and later signed a permanent seven-year contract for £35 million. However, Chelsea’s squad overhaul limited his role this season.
Limited Opportunities at Chelsea: Joao Felix was one of 11 new arrivals at the club before the 2024-25 campaign, and he has made just 20 appearances across all competitions. Despite making 20 appearances across all competitions, he started just three Premier League games and was mostly used in cup competitions. Joao Felix still managed to impress in limited minutes, scoring six goals in eight appearances in the Europa Conference League, EFL Cup, and FA Cup.
Milan Strengthen Their Attack: Head coach Sergio Conceicao sees Felix as an important addition for the rest of the season. Milan also signed striker Santiago Gimenez from Feyenoord on deadline day, reinforcing their attacking options. Earlier, the club completed deals for Kyle Walker and Warren Bondo. Currently eighth in Serie A, Milan will face Roma in the Coppa Italia quarter-finals on Wednesday.
